The club can confirm that extensive close season pitch renovations have been scheduled to start on Monday 1st June following a busy month of May at The Pilot Field.
We recognise that with the continued growth of our club across the Men’s, women’s, youth academy, disability and inclusive teams coupled with a frustrating lack of adequate training facilities in the community comes an increased usage and subsequent strain on the playing surface at The Pilot Field. As a result the club can confirm that there will be significant further investment into the pitch renovations during the summer months as well as throughout the 26/27 season to ensure that we are able to have a grass pitch that can to stand up to the amount of usage required to maintain the inclusive Football pathways that we currently have in place at Hastings United.
The club would like to thank Bugsy Crispe who took on the role of Head Groundsman on a voluntary basis at the start of season as well as other club volunteers who have regularly helped with the pitch throughout the season such as David Russell, Kayden Crispe, Roman Glazier, Joseph Knight and Gary Histed.
Off the pitch summer maintenance works at The Pilot Field will commence on Saturday June 6th from 9am and will take place every Saturday morning throughout June and July. If there are any supporters or members of the community that think they may be able give any time or expertise to help please email club@hastingsunited.com or telephone 01424 444635.
