Hastings United are delighted to confirm that Lauren Skinner-Swain has been appointed as our new Women’s First Team Manager.
A familiar face at the club, Lauren has been with the women’s team since its formation in 2020. During that time, she has made 100 appearances for the ‘U’s, helped the side win the Sussex County Premier title, been part of a team that lost just three league matches across 46 games, and has proudly captained the club since 2023.
Now, after six successful years as a player and leader on the pitch, Lauren steps into the role of First Team Manager.
“I’m really grateful for the opportunity to step into this role. Having been with the club for the past six years, and captain for the last three, I’ve shared a lot of experiences with the girls and seen the team go through different stages. My focus is on supporting the girls, creating a positive environment where everyone can enjoy their football and continue to develop. I’m looking forward to working with them and helping the team make the most of the opportunities ahead.” – Lauren Skinner-Swain
Head of Football, Billy Wood added:“I am delighted Sharpy has accepted the role, and the early stages have been really positive. We are set to announce a number of player retentions, along with a host of exciting new signings, which have brought a real sense of renewed energy around the club. Lauren has been with us since the very beginning, understands what this club is about, and we will support her every step of the way as she transitions into management.”
