Hastings United Women are delighted to welcome back former club captain Claire Johnson, who returns to The Pilot Field ahead of the new season.
Affectionately known as CJ, Johnson was arguably one of the most important signings in the modern history of the women’s team, and her return will be a major boost to Lauren “Sharpy” Skinner-Swain’s squad.
Johnson originally left the club in 2023, before enjoying a brief spell with Eastbourne Borough Women, where she worked under her former Hastings United manager Billy Wood.
Now, she is back and everyone at Hastings United is delighted to see CJ back in claret and blue!
Speaking on her return, Johnson said:
“I’m looking forward to being back playing for the ‘U’s this season. It will be great to be back playing with some familiar faces and I’m excited to be under Sharpy’s leadership.”
