After 8 years as a Director Patrick McCrossan has confirmed his resignation as Vice Chairman and will be stepping down as a Director. Pat has also for the past 8 years overseen the club’s Health and Safety operation. However whilst stepping down we are delighted he has accepted the role of Vice President and Life Member of the club.
Patrick McCrossan: “It has been a privilege to have served this great club as a Director and Vice Chairman for the past 8 years. I have had the pleasure to work with some wonderful talented people and have enjoyed every moment. In recent months however, I have found it hard to devote the time needed to do the job and feel it right that someone else takes over for next season. A forthcoming holiday means that my last operational game is 15th April. That said, I am delighted and honoured to have been offered the role of Vice President and Life Membership. This will enable me to help the club I love in a more advisory and supportive role, whilst preserving an important work / life balance.
I would like to thank Daren, Peter, Billy, Hayley, Craig and Dave Ormerod (who believed in me and gave me the honour of Director in 2015. ) I look forward to supporting them in the future, albeit in a different way.
I would like to thank our supporters who have always been so wonderful to me – and most importantly, my Wife and Family for all their support to me in my 18 years at the club. COYU!”
Billy Wood: I am sad but understand Pat’s need to step down and he does so with everyone’s blessing at the football club. When I joined this man stood by me and I was delighted when he accepted the role of Vice Chairman. Pat isn’t a colleague he is a friend to us all, board and supporters alike, and making Pat a Vice President and Life Member is the minimum I feel he deserves. Again thanks Pat for backing me up, allowing me to be daring in the role and forever being excited about us pushing boundaries. A true club-man and you won’t be disappearing out of that door.”
