Charity Fun Day in Memory of Harry Dennis HD-10

Sharing is caring!

We are both delighted and honoured to be able to confirm that we will be hosting our friends at Hastings Athletic Football Club for their Charity Fun Day in memory of Harry Dennis who tragically passed away in December 2022.
Hastings Athletic will be given full access to our facilities at The Pilot Field on the 7th of May and we are looking forward to supporting them and the rest of the community in what will be a memorable day.
Ian Boyle, Chairman of Hastings Athletic Football Club said “As most of you are aware our club and football family received some devastating news in December 2022.  Harry Dennis, who was one of our Under 12’s players sadly passed away following a tragic accident.
Hastings Athletic FC would like to remember Harry in a way that brings our club and the whole football community together.
After an email and a phone call from Adam Caney, who is a parent and supporter of our club, he reached out to Hastings United to see if they would be able to assist us with arranging a day of football for Harry.
Without hesitation Hastings United have given us the use of the Pilot Field on Sunday 7th May.
I would like to thank the
generosity of Hastings United Football Club, Billy Wood,
Ben White, Craig Barrow and Adam Caney who have all helped make this event happen.
Adam Caney, who is a parent at Hastings Athletic and event organiser said ” Like so many of you in the Football community or friends of the Dennis Family i was devastated when I heard the news about Harry Dennis. It started me thinking about what could be done to have a day when we remember him. Well the best way to remember him is by getting everybody together to play and watch a few games of football. We all know that football was his passion and holding the day at the Pilot Field we hope to create a day that will be remembered by all.
All proceeds on the day will go to ‘You Raise Me Up’ who are a local charity that support families who have suffered bereavement.
