Brefo screamer and Ben Pope double secures next round tie.

Goals from Pope, Brefo and McKenzie secure a 4-2 win over Burgess Hill Town for Hastings United in the FA Isuzu Trophy.

Pope put Hastings 1-0 up in the 11th minute thanks to a lob over the keeper who is off his line. In the 28th minute Brefo finds space in midfield and with the willing of the crowd produces a strike from 35 yards out into the top corner.

Burgess Hill Town find a goal from a corner in the 36th minute thanks to Dan Perry.

After half time in the 58th minute Elliot finds space in the box to square to Pope who puts the ball in the net putting Hastings United 3-1 up.

Burgess Hill Town find space down the wing and produce a fine save from Rogers who can only parry the ball away, the ball finds its way to Perry who smashes the ball into the back of the net in the 67th minute.

In the 72nd minute McKenzie replaces Pope and in the 73rd minute heads the ball home from close range after Hull produces a fine save from the Burgess Hill Town keeper to put Hastings United 4-2 up. The ‘U’s then see the game out comfortably and into the hat for the next round of the FA Isuzu Trophy.
