Hastings United are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper, Lucy Apps. Who joins us from a brief spell at Shoreham Women.

Lucy (22), joins The ‘U’s after spending last season at Worthing. Prior to her spell at Worthing Lucy represented Sussex, spent time in the United States playing for Thomas University, she also came through the Lewes Women Academy, playing for their Under 18s, Development team and making her senior debut for the 1st Team.

Lucy Apps: “It’s a very exciting opportunity for me, signing for a club with such a clear vision for their future and I cannot wait to get started.”

Billy Wood: “I am delighted to welcome Lucy to the club. When speaking to her she understood our ambition straight away, she is familiar with members of our squad and will settle in quick. Since we started the Womens team we have been blessed to have strong goalkeeping options and that trait continues. Lucy is confident on the ball also which adds to how we play. The question will be asked regarding Blair Hamilton, as it stands whilst yet to be announced she has an opportunity to play for a Tier 3 National League club and we support that growth and when we can say more on it, we will. With our ambitions it’s vital we have quality in every area so to be able to bring in someone of the quality of Lucy shows we are certainly an attractive option.”

Lucy’s registration is complete and will be available for selection this weekend.
