Hastings United Football Club are delighted to retain the services of Kane Penn who has committed for the 2022/23 season.
Penn, who is a Hastings United Academy graduate was an integral part of SCFL Premier Division team Eastbourne United AFC before returning to The ‘U’s last season, working his way into the Men’s First Team fold.
Kane Penn: “I’m buzzing to be here for another year. I’ve got to thank Gaz, Meeney, Brownie and everyone else involved for believing in me and giving me the opportunity last season to play my part. I’m looking forward to building on last year and hopefully bring more success to the club this season. Up The ‘U’s!”
Gary Elphick: “I love that Kane is staying on board. He is a fantastic player who can cover numerous positions and never let me down last season. Kane is a very popular player off the pitch as well.”
Billy Wood: “I am so happy to see Kane’s development here at the club. Kane has played at two clubs I’ve been Chairman of and whilst a talented player in my opinion has been his resilience to the challenges he faces. He made the bold move to back himself by coming back to the club with no promises of first team football, but his character and talent put him right in Gary’s thinking. Gary and the staff should take a lot of credit when it comes to Kane’s growth this season and I am sure it’ll be another year of progression for him.”
