Hastings United are delighted our club record appearance holder Sam Adams will continue for another year as he commits for the 2022/23 season.
Adams, with over 600 appearances for the club celebrated his testimonial last pre-season as we welcomed Tottenham Hotspurs Under 23s.
Sam Adams: “To finally get over the line after three years of being at the top it was an easy decision for me to stay on another year, as long as Gaz wanted me to. It’s by far the most enjoyable time I’ve had at the club and I can’t wait to get started again.”
Gary Elphick: “Happy to have the services of Sammy Adams for another season. It’s simple, best teammate I’ve ever had, a Hastings legend and sets the standards on and off the pitch.”
Billy Wood: “They call him Super Sammy Adams and that’s exactly who he is. Sammy is so important to this football club that regardless as every year goes by I couldn’t imagine a squad without him part of it. Each year the questions come up and every year Sam shows how important he is with match winning performances or goals just when we need him. He is Mr Hastings and I have no doubt he will have an important part to play this season.”
