Hastings United are delighted to announce the retention of captain Jack Dixon, who signs for the 2022/23 season.

Hastings’ own Dixon, who has played for the club for many seasons and the last remaining member of the FA Cup 3rd Round tie at Middlesbrough will continue to play for his hometown club as we face a new challenge of Isthmian Premier Division football.

Jack Dixon: “The wheels are very much in motion now at the club in terms of where we want to be and I’m very proud to be a part of it. Last season for me was just business as usual. We’ve been champions in my eyes for three years now and after finally getting the job done and enjoying the success with the lads… I’m thirsty for more. We now must build on the momentum that we have as a team, as a town and compete for the next title. I can’t wait to lead us out again in 22/23.”

Gary Elphick: “I am delighted to secure Jack for another year. He is the heart and soul of the football club and ingrained in the DNA of Hastings. A captain, leader of men and his only going to get better over the next few seasons as he has improved no end with experience and maturity.”

Billy Wood: “A man and player I have a lot of respect for, Dicko consistently puts this club first and is a real leader around the club. It was important to keep the heartbeat of the football club with us as we look to challenge in the league above. A player who wears his heart on his sleeve but more importantly grabs games by the neck will be vital in our mission this season. A true fans favourite and we are delighted he is staying with us.”
