Hastings United are proud to announce HUFC Academy graduates James Hull, Harvey Mapstone, Alfie Peacock, Kian Moynes and Freddie Legg have all agreed contract terms with the club.

This move continues with the club’s tradition of supporting and backing homegrown players with an eye on progressing their careers.

We would like to put on record our thanks to the clubs the players spent time on at loan last season including Little Common (Hull), Eastbourne Town (Hull, Moynes), Eastbourne United (Mapstone, Peacock) and Saltdean United (Peacock).

Andrew Brown – Assistant Manager: “It is really pleasing to see these lads get their just reward for their hard work and dedication. We have seen these boys mature both on and the off the pitch into young men and are really excited by what the future could hold. Well done gents, now the hard work really starts!”

Billy Wood – CEO: “It’s great to get all five lads signed with a real focus on their individual developments within our first team environment. Each of their journeys have been different, James Hull broke into our first team squad last year and this is just reward for his hard work, the others have done incredibly well in our Under 23 squad winning the treble and impressing whilst out on loan this season. This should be a real example to our Academy players that getting your head down, working hard and being ready to prove yourself will be rewarded. Signing a contract is one thing but the maturity these lads have shown means they know the hard work starts now. Congratulations to all five!”
