Hastings United are delighted to announce both Faye Williams and Lauren Sharp will be staying at The TGS Pilot Field for the 21/22 season.
Sharp has excelled in her first season at The ‘U’s with her consistent performances at right back and continues to be part of a defence that kept seven clean sheets last season. Williams, who is part of the England Deaf Squad enjoyed a successful debut season with The ‘U’s at just 18 and continues to be an exciting attacking option for the team as we go into the London and South East Womens League.
Lauren Sharp: “I am looking forward to the upcoming season and to be part of this great team and club! I thoroughly enjoyed my first season in womens football and I can’t wait to get back out on the pitch and go again!”
Faye Williams: “I am so excited to re-sign for Hastings United for the 21/22 season, going into a new league and continuing my journey with The ‘U’s.”
Billy Wood “I am delighted both have committed to The ‘U’s this season. Sharpy has been such a consistent performer for the club and very popular with all here, she has got better and better as last season went on and has come back this season raring to go. Faye has so much potential, a technically proficient player who can damage teams high up the pitch, this season I have no doubts she will kick on and add more goals to her game. Both massive parts of our success last season and both know what it will take this year.”
