Hastings United are delighted to announce Kenny Pogue has agreed terms for the 2021/22 season.
Kenny was in top form last season, leading the goalscoring and assist charts before an early curtailment, this will be Kenny’s third consecutive year at the club in this spell.
“It was an absolute no brainer to continue playing for this club. I am excited to carry on playing for Aggy, Browny and the rest of the staff and love being amongst this group of players. We’ve got unfinished business and I cannot wait to get going again.”
Chris Agutter (Manager):
“Kenny, as far as numbers go was out most effective attacking player last season in terms of both goals and assists. He led the line brilliantly away at Ebbsfleet United and produced a superb individual display away at Haywards Heath where he netted a hattrick, that’s just naming a couple of many great performances from Ken last season. Kenny is a top character, the glue amongst the squad and to work with him for a third season on the spin is fantastic for everyone.”
Billy Wood (CEO):
“It’s brilliant that every time we announce a retention you can guess the positive reaction from the supporters, with Ken it will be no different. He is a great character and someone who wears the shirt with pride, Ken is Hastings through and through and whilst he has had stints at other clubs throughout his career this is his home. I am delighted he is staying. The supporters said before Ebbsfleet if Kenny score, they will run onto the pitch as they watched on a live stream from The Pilot Bar….I know they didn’t disappoint!!! That’s the love the supporters have for him and the character who has connected with our club. Third year lucky Ken!”
