UPDATE REGARDING SPECTATORS BACK AT THE PILOT FIELD

Hi all,

We are delighted that with the new guidance from the FA our supporters can be welcomed back to The Pilot Field, however with the restrictions in place we know that some supporters will be disappointed as the limit on capacity is incredibly low versus the crowds we have been accustomed to in the 2019/20 season.

As of 22nd August till the 30th August based on the new guidelines, Step 4 clubs are allowed a maximum crowd of 200 people and from the 31st August as long as we can continue to comply with government guidelines our attendance going into competitive football will be 400 people maximum.

Hastings United this season have smashed their season ticket numbers and fortunately we can accommodate all those who have purchased from 31st August but please remember your season tickets are not valid for friendly or cup games.

Tonight at 6pm we will be releasing tickets for a friendly this Saturday at The Pilot Field as we take on Folkestone Invicta. Tickets will be on a first come, first serve basis and they’ll be very limited away tickets available. Suspicious ticket activity will be monitored and any away fans purchasing home tickets will be refunded and their entry will be refused.

We will also put on sale tomorrow tickets for our Women’s team who will be playing Herne Bay at home on the 30th August. Buying a ticket to this match and supporting our new exciting Women’s team is a big way of supporting our football club in this tough time. With two wins so far in pre-season and 9 goals scored, excitement is definitely on the cards!

Regarding prices on tickets for FA Cup and League games; this is something we are going to have to really look at with the limited capacities. Limiting a club like ours to just 400 supporters will really hurt us financially and whilst we do not want to affect our supporters too much we have to think about how we make sure our business model continues to be as sustainable as it has in recent times. Please be aware that any slight adjustment to prices will be monitored as government guidelines change and attendances can increase.

This Saturday please adhere to our guidelines, follow the track and trace procedure and more importantly all enjoy being back home!
