Hastings United Football Club are delighted to announce Ryan Worrall has extended his stay with the football club and will be part of the squad for the 2020/21 season.

Ryan, a hard working, technically gifted midfielder had a real impactful season for the ‘U’s with the standout moment being a 25 yard winner flying into the net at The Pilot Field as Hastings went on to beat Sevenoaks.

Ryan Worrall said, “When the opportunity came to sign again for the club it was a no brainer for me. Last season was taken away from us and we all know where we should be starting next season, however we will just have to go again and show the exact same quality that put us in pole position. I can’t wait to be back with the squad, the staff and see the fans when we get back out onto The Pilot Field.”

Chris Agutter, manager commented, “I am really pleased to have a big character, such as Ryan staying with us for next season. We have a winning mentality as a team and he is key to that, add on top his massive contributions on the field and his desire to improve and develop makes Ryan staying such a big positive. We want to have the best local players representing the club and Ryan certainly ticks that box.”

Billy Wood, CEO added, “Ryan is a very popular character around this club, always working hard on the pitch and keeping the lads morale up off the pitch! In my first home league game as CEO he produced a masterclass in midfield finished off with that special goal which sent the now named Steve Smith Stand into raptures. Having Ryan’s energy and skill at the ‘U’s is such a positive and I am sure the supporters will agree.”
