Hastings United are delighted to announce Izzy Foot, one of the most promising young and talented female footballers in the area has committed to Hastings United and will be playing for our Women’s side for the 2020/21 season.
Izzy comes to Hastings United from Bexhill United Ladies scooping up 2 end of year awards in her first season (Oppositions’ player of the season & Top Goalscorer) assisting Bexhill to winning the Sussex Women’s Challenge Trophy in January. Izzy is an attacking player with an eye for goal and a dead ball specialist.
Izzy Foot on joining the ‘U’s said, “I am excited to be able to play for my hometown and i’ve always wanted to play at The Pilot Field. This season is already looking promising with the players already signed and I can’t wait to join them and put Hastings United Women’s team on the map.”
Amy Sinden Head Coach said, “Izzy is a young talented addition to our squad. Not only did she have a really great season but her attitude and determination to become a better footballer is key to us as coaches. All of us here at the ‘U’s are happy to welcome Izzy Foot to the club.”
Billy Wood, CEO added, “Izzy is a talented, ambitious, young and local talent that we are delighted has chosen Hastings United to be her next destination. Izzy has seen the changes and the culture shift at The Pilot Field as a regular spectator on Men’s match days and wants to embody that and be part of the culture shaping of the Women’s team. Her talent is undeniable and we are incredibly happy for her to join us and push forward our ambitious goals for Women’s football in Hastings. Things really are shaping up, so many local women wanting to trial plus partnering that with experience is a recipe for success. The Hastings United Independent Supporters Club have been really vocal about their support of the Women’s team to me and we are really excited to give this town a female team it can be proud of alongside the male team that Aggy and the staff have shaped so well. Welcome Izzy, foundations are everything!!!”
