We are delighted to confirm former Brighton and Crystal Palace Goalkeeper Sophie Bridson has agreed to join Hastings United Women for the 2020/21 Season.
Sophie joins the club for it’s first season in Women’s football bringing a wealth of experience. The former Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace and Whytleafe shot stopper joins the ‘U’s after a short hiatus out of the game last season. Bridson was a member of the Crystal Palace team in the undefeated 2015/16 season.
Sophie on her signing said, “I am so excited to be joining Hastings United’s new Women’s set up. After having time off after last playing for Whytleafe I am looking forward to getting back in training and competing for success for my new club. This is an exciting new challenge.”
Amy Sinden, First Team Head Coach added, “I am over the moon to have signed our first player, Sophie Bridson. Sophie is a well known goalkeeper of top quality. Sophie’s confidence and experience will huge addition to what we are anticipating to be a young and hungry squad.”
