The Club are pleased to announce that young Central Defender Cameron Williams joins the ‘U’s First Team squad.
The Gaffer confirmed, ‘Cam is a lad that I’ve worked with on and off for a number of years, he’s young, local, hungry and most importantly good enough whilst having big big potential. Unlike a lot of younger players these days Cam is a real leader-similar in terms of character and maturity as Tom Climpson, so when the opportunity arose to bring Cam into the First Team setup it was a no brainer. Cam joined the squad to face Brighton & Hove Albion last night and will 100% be competing for a place in the starting X11 moving forwards.’
The youngster added, ‘I am very pleased to get a chance with the Hastings United first team squad. The Club appears to be on the right path from top to bottom and going places. Its great to think I can be part of it’.
