Homegrown and Hungry

The Club is very pleased to announce that Academy player Panashe Makwiramiti will join the First Team squad following a string of impressive performances including an outstanding display against Met Police in the Clubs latest FA Youth Cup outing.

On Panashe the Manager commented, ‘Panashe is a very strong and powerful boy, his work ethic is second to none and he thoroughly deserves his opportunity. I really believe that in time we have found a real competitor for Adam Lovatt in terms of position and type, this coupled with the fact that he’s a Hastings lad and has an affinity with the Club is all the better. Short term I see Panashe playing most of his football in the U23s however, it won’t be long till he’s knocking on the door of our First Team starting X11, the fact that if needs must I wouldn’t hesitate to put him in now is the biggest compliment I can give him.’

Well done Panashe….who becomes the latest product of the ‘U’s Academy to break into the First Team setup!
