The Club are delighted to announce that manager Chris Agutter has signed a contract covering a period to the end of the 2019/20 season with the Club having an option to extend the contract for a further season. The Club have been very pleased with Chris’s work to date both with the first team and in his role as Academy manager.
Chris will continue to develop young local talent whilst also scouting for young players from outside the area that fit the Club’s athletic, energetic, quick and hardworking profile requirement. In addition Chris will by the start of next season be looking to recruit a few perhaps more experienced players who have the right attitude in terms of being able to assist, especially on pitch, with the further footballing education of the Club’s developing youngsters.
Charlie Horlock, Dayshonne Golding and Sam Cruttwell have already signed contract deals for next season and the Club anticipates that Chris will have contract deals agreed with a number of the other members of the current first team squad over the next few weeks as negotiations with quite a few players are at an advanced stage. Contract signings will be announced directly each contract is concluded. Several players also have a one year option on their existing contract and it will be up to Chris to decide if he wishes to exercise the option for the 2018/19 season.
The Club feels it now has a solid structure in place that will stand it in good stead for the 2018/19 season and beyond.
